Answers For Owners
How much do Resort Vacation Homes cost?
They start from as little as $89,900. Most of our customers choose to purchase their resort vacation home through our Dealerplan Funding program, with down payments from as low as $20,115 down and low weekly payments of $133. From time to time, we also have pre-owned vacation homes available for sale. Contact us to visit the resort, tour available vacation homes, and to learn more!
Pack up the kids, the groceries and hit the road, we’ve got the rest covered! Our all-inclusive resort management fee covers most of your running costs: all utilities, garbage disposal, grounds maintenance, on site management and reception. The annual fee also covers your family entertainment; from the Kidz Klub program, to full use of all resort amenities. Annual fees vary depending on your chosen location within the resort.
Is this a timeshare?
No, you purchase and own your resort vacation home outright. First, select the model that best suits your family’s lifestyle and needs, and then select the perfect site. As quickly as two weeks later you can start to enjoy 26 weeks of resort fun! In the event you no longer wish to remain an owner, you are free to sell your resort vacation home. We can even help you with that.
Can I rent my resort vacation home out when I’m not using it?
Yes, we have a fully managed rental program where we take care of advertising, cleaning and our owners receive revenue they can use toward their annual fees.
Can I live in my Resort Vacation Home?
Unfortunately no. Due to our seasonality, (and Canadian winters!) owners can enjoy the resort for 6 months of the year and cannot be used as your sole residence.
Can my friends and family visit me?
Absolutely! We ask that you register them prior to their arrival.
Can you finance a resort vacation home?
Yes, with traditional bank financing through Dealerplan, a respected broker in the vacation home industry. Average terms with good credit are 4.49% fixed for 5 years, up to a 15 year amortization with a 15% deposit. Rates and terms may vary depending on approved credit and your personal financial situation.
What is the Guaranteed Rental Program?
Guaranteed Rental Program for All Brand New Vacation Home Models
When you purchase a brand new model vacation home, you are automatically registered into our Guaranteed Rental Program.
What is a Guaranteed Rental Program?
It is a three year program that helps owners reduce (or pay zero) site fees by having their vacation home make them money when they’re not using it! In return, Vine Ridge Resort rents out their cottage during 5 peak weeks and 2 off-peak weeks during the season.
What does the Program include?
- Online reservation system and website to drive rental bookings
- Marketing and advertising your vacation home rental
- Customer service support
- On-site greeting of guests
- Cottage cleaning services
Outside of my annual resort management fee, what other costs are there?
Just like your home or car, your vacation home requires insurance too! Ask about our CareFree Program for just $395/year to qualify for our competitive group insurance rate through our preferred insurance partner, Martin Merry and Reid Limited. On average our owners typically spend $150-$200 on propane each year too.
How often do the resort management fees increase?
We make every effort to minimize increases across our resorts but, like most things, costs do increase from time to time. We make every effort to keep increases to a cap of 3-5% annually.
Is buying a Resort Vacation Home a good investment?
Yes, this is a great investment in your family leisure time. However, if you are looking for a financial investment, we would recommend you do not buy a vacation home.
Answers For Renters
What is the minimum booking?
You can book a one night stay during weekdays (Sunday – Thursday), a two night minimum during weekends (Friday – Saturday) and long weekends, we require a three night commitment.
Please note: You cannot check-in or check-out on a Saturday.
What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in is 3:00pm. Keys are to be picked up at the Welcome Centre located on your resort. Please contact the office prior to your arrival by phone at 905-262-4260 if you will be arriving after 6pm.
Check-out is 11:00am. Keys are to be returned to the Welcome Centre by 11:00am on your departure day. There is a key box outside the Welcome Centre door for returning keys outside of office hours. There will be a charge of $100+HST to replace any lost keys.
Please note: Early Check-in and Late Check-out can be requested but is not guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.
What is included with our Resort Vacation Home rental?
Our resort vacation homes offer approximately 500 sq. ft. of indoor living space and sleeps up to a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children under the ages of 16). They are fully equipped with a kitchen (full size fridge & stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster), bathroom, 2 or 3 bedrooms, heating/air conditioning, TV with DVD player (NO cable or WIFI so bring DVDs!) and a full-size deck with a BBQ with propane, fire pit and patio set. Our resort vacation homes are cozy and comfortable but rustic.
What do we need to bring with us?
You will need to bring sheets and pillow cases for the beds, towels for bathing and the beach/pool along with personal toiletries. Also, be sure to bring DVDs as our resort vacation homes rentals are not equipped with cable TV. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
Is the resort dog-friendly?
Yes of course! Pets are welcome at pet-friendly designated rentals. For those guests bringing pets, there is a pet fee of $99+HST per reservation. There is a maximum of two pets per accommodation. Please remember our accommodations are privately owned and we must respect the owner’s wishes regarding pets. You must notify us at the time of reservation if you are travelling with pets. If you arrive for check-in with a pet not included on your reservation you run the risk of being denied check-in without refund. Dogs are always required to be on leash within the resort including on the trails, roads, etc. Guests are responsible for picking up and disposing of pet waste at all times.
Is there laundry available?
Yes, there is a coin operated on-site laundry facility (washers & dryers) for your convenience.

What’s included in the resort fee?
The resort fee is a $25/night +HST charge that includes use of all of our amenities. Including the pool, splash pad, multi-sports court and much more!
